Meet River Taco, the newest addition to the family. A 2017 Forest River Wildwood FSX Travel Trailer. Anika picked the first name, Jake the second.
We absolutely LOVED our pop up camper. We spent the past two summers making so many memories. However, we knew with the kids getting bigger, we wanted something a little bigger too. And something with a bathroom. Bye bye poop bucket!
Our new camper popped up for sale in January. One look at the ad and we knew it was the perfect one for us. The kids were ecstatic with the purchase and particularly happy with the bunk beds. And there’s a bathroom. Did I mention that? I’m particularly happy about that.
We were very sad to see our pop up go. She was sold to a lovely family, with plans to park her outside their lakeside camp in Maine for additional sleeping space. So she gets to go retire.
We recently took River Taco for a trial run to Thomas Point Beach, in Brunswick Maine. A favorite campground for us that we have visited frequently. Things went great and confirmed that the purchase was the right decision.
We have a couple of trips booked already for this camping season. One to Lost River Valley Campground in the Franconia Notch area and another to Covered Bridge Campground off the Kancamagus Highway. Both places we’ve been to before and have enjoyed.
We also are giving Harvest Hosts a try this year. We are hoping to use this when we are looking for a different type of camping experience or if we have a longer drive and want to break it up a bit. They have some interesting looking places to stay in our area….multiple alpaca farms for some reason. I’m thinking the kids will love that. I have a coupon code for anyone who also might be considering giving Harvest Hosts a try. It’s gets you 15 percent off and gives us 15.00 dollars.
We are SO excited for many adventures in River Taco!
